Lyle Donnolly
Dream-inspired journeys
Welcome to my creative space. Every brushstroke tells a story, born from the depths of personal experiences and the ethereal fragments of my dreams. I invite you to explore these narratives where emotion meets expression on the canvas.
Artistic Journey
2010 • THE AWAKENING
2018 • BARTON STUDIO LAUNCH
Lyle begins exploring the intersection of surrealism and memory, inspired by a series of vivid nightly visions that would define the bARTon aesthetic.
A turning point where personal expression meets professional practice, establishing a dedicated space for community engagement and creative healing.
2014 • THE PORTLAND SERIES
Relocating to the Pacific Northwest, bARTon translates the misty landscapes and towering pines into emotional tapestries of dreamlike isolation.
2023 • PRESENT VISIONS
Continuing to push boundaries by integrating digital textures with traditional oils to map the evolving landscapes of the modern unconscious mind.
Values & Philosophy
Authenticity
Every brushstroke reflects a true moment of self-discovery, ensuring that the art is as genuine as the experiences that inspired it.
Dream-Inspired Stories
Narratives plucked from the subconscious world, where surreal elements meet personal history to create something uniquely evocative.
Emotional Connection
Art is a bridge between souls. I create work that invites viewers to find their own stories within my textures and tones.
Lyle in his quiet studio space, where dreams take shape through meticulous layers of pigment and personal narrative.
The artisanal process begins with natural pigments, grounding ethereal concepts in physical texture.
Every brushstroke carries a choice—a bridge between personal memory and the viewer's emotional response.
